Kes The Band rocked a full house last Tuesday, when it performed at the RuStreet restaurant/nightclub, while fulfilling its promise of bringing British soul singer, songwriter and actress Joss Stone to launch a series of events entitled “The Listening Sessions”.
Fans of the band gathered at the venue from as early as 6.30 p.m. to secure their preferred vantage points and be a part of the grand occasion.
“Kees (Dieffenthaller) is my boy—I love him, I love his music. I’m not that familiar with Joss Stone, but if Kees is bringing her then she has to be good!” remarked one eager female patron.
Designed to give fans “an up close and personal” taste of the band’s latest songs, while also showcasing young talent and special guest acts, “The Listening Sessions” began around 8.30 p.m. with 19-year-old singer/songwriter Zachary De Lima.
