Viral Picture Involves TTPS Officer

Police confirm woman in viral picture is a police officer.

The TTPS has confirmed that the image circulating on social media with a woman holding a child whilst holding a weapon is currently an officer of the TTPS.

The following is a press release from the TTPS:

Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) can confirm that the image circulating on social media, of a woman holding a child whilst brandishing what appears to be a firearm, is that of a serving member of the TTPS.

Since having been made aware of the existence of the image, Commissioner of Police (Ag.) Stephen Williams, has instructed the head of the Professional Standards Bureau, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Ag.), Anthony Bucchan, to commence an immediate investigation.

The public will be updated on the outcome of said investigation when completed.
