When it comes to wining, it’s better to seek forgiveness than permission.
That was the advice of soca monk Machel Montano to the feting crowd, during his Carnival 2018 stage debut at Tribe/Red Ants’ Stumped, at the Queen’s Park Oval, St Clair, on Saturday night.
Midway into an extended set at the event, Montano told the massive compliant audience to disregard the police advisory to seek permission before “thiefing a wine” and “find somebody to jam”.
Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) public information officer ASP Michael Jackman said last week, it is an assault to touch someone without their consent and could lead to arrest.
